Oh Christmas Tree...

Here is a picture of our First Christmas Tree! The day after Thanksgiving I couldn't wait to put up the Christmas decorations and the tree... I was ready to be in the Christmas spirit! I just love Christmas and it is definitely my favorite holiday. This year is going to be a little bit different for us... 1. we are married! and 2. we are flying to Hawaii on Christmas day! My mom's side of the family is spending Christmas in Hawaii this year and my parents are kindly taking Brandon and I along too! We can't WAIT to be in the hot weather and leave all this cold stuff behind, however it will be very weird not to be home during Christmas! We hope you all have a WONDERFUL Christmas and we will post more pictures of our "Hawaiian Christmas" when we get home!

Snowflake Lane!

This past weekend Brandon and I ventured over to the west side to stay with some friends who live in Federal Way! We spent Saturday Christmas Shopping all day and then went to Bellevue Square that night to do a little more shopping as well as see the "Snowflake Lane" parade! We got there a little late... but just in time for the "fake" bubble Snowflakes that were falling from the sky! After the parade our husbands took us to a dinner at PF Changs. It was such a fun weekend! We love hanging out with Marissa and David and wish we lived closer! We are so thankful for their friendship and for the fun we always have when we are together! Here are a few pictures from the evening!

Citizens of Washington State

I received a great e-mail from my Mom this week, which I felt would be a great (and true) addition to the Robertson blog:

THIS IS WHAT JEFF FOXWORTHY HAS TO SAY ABOUT LIVING IN Washington !
If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in Washington .
If you've worn shorts, sandals and a parka at the same time, you live in Washington .
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number, you live in Washington .
If you measure distance in hours, you live in Washington .
If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in Washington .
If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' and back again in the same day, you live in Washington . If you install security lights on your house and garage but leave both doors unlocked, you live in Washington
If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in Central, Southern or Eastern Washington .
If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a 2 layers of clothes or under a raincoat, you live in Washington .
If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow and ice, you live in Washington .
If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction, you live in Washington .
If you feel guilty throwing aluminum cans or paper in the trash, you live in Washington .
If you know more than 10 ways to order coffee, you live in Washington .
If you know more people who own boats than air conditioners, you live in Washington .
If you stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk" signal, you live in Washington .
If you consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, it is not a real mountain, you live in Washington .
If you can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle 's Best, and Dutch Bros, you live in Washington .
If you know the difference between Chinook, Coho and Sockeye salmon, you live in Washington .
If you know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup , Abiqua, Issaquah , Oregon , Umpqua, Yakima and Willamette, you live in Washington .
If you consider swimming an indoor sport, you live in Washington .
If you can tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese and Thai food, you live in Washington .
If you never go camping without waterproof matches and a poncho, you live in Washington .
If you have actually used your mountain bike on a mountain, you live in Washington .
If you think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists, you live in Washington .
If you buy new sunglasses every year, because you can't find the old ones after such a long time, you live in Washington .
If you actually understand these jokes and forward them to all your Washington friends, you live or have lived in Washington .

Another Win!

Bulldog Football took another step closer to The Big Dance in Tacoma this weekend. By defeating the visiting Clarkston Bantums, 45-35, Ellensburg advances to face Mark Morris High School this coming weekend. The date, time, and location has yet to be determined, but importance of this game is already known. GO DOGS!

BULLDOGS TO STATE

It is now time to update all individuals (we have no followers) about the current status of the Ellensburg High School football team. As some people may know, I am in my second year of coaching wide receivers and defensive backs with my alma matar, and we have just completed the regular season with a perfect record of 10-0. This season has been full of amazing moments with a lot of excitement, which has brought back many memories from my own senior season. This Friday (Nov. 13th, 2009), E.H.S. will be taking on the Clarkston High School. This is going to be a great challenge for our team, and with the support of the home field fans, another win for the Bulldogs. If you would be interested in additional information on the Ellensburg High School football team visit www.ellensburgfootball.com.

The best day of my life!!!

On August 1st, 2009 I married my best friend. It was such an amazing day, and one I hope to remember forever! We were married at Ritter Farms in Cle Elum, and had 340 people attend. It was so much fun to get to celebrate with so many close family and friends. It was definitely the best day of my life so far, and I could not have asked for a more perfect day!

Entering the blogging world!!!
